Dear Parents, Guardians and Students,
We are excited to welcome many of you back after a challenging year in a pandemic. We are especially looking forward to greeting our new Century friends to our school community for the 2021.2022 school year. We have some fun things planned for the beginning of the year so all students feel welcomed and ready to come to school! I could not be more excited to see our students in the building this year as we support them to make accelerated growth in their social, emotional and academic learning. Our goal is to inspire a passion for learning in an inclusive and diverse community. We will work as a team to ensure that we are providing enriching opportunities and experiences in order to support ALL students.
Over the summer, we had a few construction projects occur that will enhance our learning environment. We added new Interactive TV panels in all classrooms and our Media Center. Some classrooms received new carpet and paint and our Library got a complete makeover! We also have a new electronic monument sign that will display important information throughout the year. You may even see our staff and students using our new picnic tables this year!
It is with gratitude and excitement that I return for my fourth year at Dartmouth. A few of my core values include: kindness, integrity, communication, perseverance and building relationships. You will see me model these on a consistent basis. I see potential in all children and make an effort every day to connect with students on a real, personal level. My goal is to support teachers with the right resources in order to provide all students with the knowledge and mental training they need to navigate the world around them and to foster a positive environment that allows our community of students and staff to grow.
I look forward to partnering with each and every one of you to create a safe, caring and academically rich learning environment for every child, every day. We will continue PTO meetings this year and welcome all parents to be active members so we can collaborate on important topics. As you can see, we continue to update our website to keep you informed of current information around all Dartmouth and district events.
We are excited to see our 1st-5th graders on August 12th and our Preschool-Kinders on August 18th. Our student hours are from 9:00-3:30. The district will also be providing a time for us to connect on August 7th from 10:00-12:30 if you'd like to stop by and say hi at the Aurora Town Center. Please let me know if you have any questions regarding the information in this letter (or in general) as I try to maintain an open door approach.
Here’s to a great year!
